FAQ

The answers to your most frequently asked questions.

What is the difference between translation and interpreting?

Translation is written while interpretation is verbal.
A translator translates websites, agreements, brochures and books.
An interpreter mainly goes in person to a conference or meeting to interpret simultaneously. Attendees listen via headphones. These days, interpreting is increasingly done remotely through online platforms.
Interpreters are also often translators while the reverse is rarer. Few trained translators are capable of interpreting.

What is the difference between normal translating and sworn translating?

A sworn translation comes with a stamp of the sworn translator who translated the document. The stamp certifies that the translation is true to the original.

What are your "standard" translation rates?

Before giving you a specific rate, we would prefer to view the documents that you wish to translate. Indeed, the rate takes into account in a certain number of factors, including the language combination, the translation volume, the technical nature of the text, the delivery deadline and the document format.
